Listen. I was born a boy and wanted to be a girl. I was also always a girl, who happened to be born a boy. There's no "right way" of knowing if your transgender, or if you're 'trans enough'. All I can offer is my journey and my research and my opinion. But I think that the bottom line is that if you want to make changes to your life, that's 100% up to you and you alone. No therapist alive is able to speak for if you should go through with anything. Your parents and friends don't know your mind as well as you do. If you want to be called by a new 'nickname', there's nothing wrong with that. If you want to get plastic surgery, there's nothing wrong with that. If you want to take hormone injections to change your body "more naturally", that's 100% up to you. It's your body. The last call for tattoos is always the person getting the tattoo. Obviously, accessbility to all these things varies greatly on location and economic standing, but I only did the research as it pertained to me. So here's the research I did to allow myself a more informed decision on what i wanted exactly and how it works etc.

First, I went through my "am i trans enough" phase. These two sites were probably the most influential to me.

Turn Me Into A Girl meant a lot to me and is probably the defining point of me cracking my egg. The Dysphoria Bible helped me feel like I was properly 'diagnosing' myself, and it has an 'expected effects of hrt' section, which is a welcome bonus.

Now that I have realized to myself that being a girl is something I want, I needed to find out how. Luckily, there are some transfems out there that did a LOT of research (with sources!) on anything you can think of.

This site was, and honestly still is, my go-to source of information on the topic of feminizing hrt. I want to help out the transmascs, but honestly I didn't do any of that research, cuz like ..duh. As far as I know, a website like this doesn't exist for y'all, but hey, maybe *you* should start it.

I decided on taking pills. I don't exactly remember why, but I think I preferred keeping - in my opinion - my hormones most consistent on a daily basis but still having notable effect. A nice middle point between patches and injections, or anything else. Finally, on this site, I already have a page dedicated to my gender-oriented musings. Even though, let's be fair, it affects every aspect of my life. In no way is it comprehensive of my entire journey or anything. It's simply where I go to try to allow myself to vent about any emotions about gender I have - good or bad.
